Brunnschweiler

First project for Brunnschweiler in Russia

Since more than 30 years Brunnschweiler provides equipment for the ventilation of machine halls, special rooms and converting areas, to most of the major paper groups. After the project of the Botnia new plant in Uruguay, Brunnschweiler is now immersed in the project carried out by Mondi for the expansion of the mill in Syktyvkar (Russia), called the STEP Project.

Brunnschweiler will supply and install the air conditioning system for special rooms (electrical, cable and control rooms) and the hall ventilation system for process rooms in the Turbine Hall, Fibre Line, Woodhandling, Evaporation Plant and White Liquor Plant. The equipment will be commissioned in autumn 2009 and the start-up will be completed in Spring 2010.

A member of the MONDI Group, the Syktyvkar mill has a production capacity of 830,000 tons of paper and 550,000 tons of pulp in 2008, supplying markets in Russia and Middle and Far East.
