From the 1st January 2009, Brunnschweiler is closer to its customers in Central and South East Europe and India through its new representative offices.

At the beginning of October the italian paper mill Cartiera Giorgione re-started up its machine 1, which has been upgraded with the participation of Brunnschweiler.  This MC-1 produces ca. 20 t/h of white top liner with maximun operating speed 1.100 m/min.

Brunnschweiler has been selected by Hamburger group to participate in the project of the new machine in Dunaujvaros mill, Hungary.  This new machine, PM-7, will produce fluting and testliner of 7,800 mm width at 1350 m/min.  Production will reach 1422 ton/day.

The high costs of the energy nowadays have strongly reactivated the investments designed to increase the energy efficiency in the paper drying process, which has high consumptions.  Brunnschweiler has recently developed a project to optimise energy consumption in the PM61 of Holmen Paper Madrid (Fuenlabrada – Madrid).
